Work Order — Lesson #04
Stage Time Purpose & Activity Instructor Notes
1. Kick-Off 2-3 min Prompt: "Think of a time someone gave you feedback that helped you improve. What made it helpful?" Lead discussion to highlight traits of useful feedback (specific, kind, actionable).
2. Core Concepts 5-7 min Present the 5 feedback habits: Be Clear, Be Constructive, Be Considerate, Ask Before Telling, Receive with Openness. Model two short role-plays: one harsh, one constructive. Ask which builds growth.
3. Guided Work Time 12-15 min Tier 1: "Glow and Grow" peer activity — students share one strength and one suggestion. Tier 2: "SBI Practice" (Situation–Behavior–Impact) feedback pairs. Reinforce tone and timing; encourage "I noticed…" phrasing.
4. Reflection / Exit Ticket 2-3 min Prompt: "What makes feedback constructive?" "How will you apply it next time?" Collect on Schoology or paper. Highlight that feedback fuels growth.

Objectives

  • Identify the difference between helpful and harmful feedback.
  • Apply the “3 C’s” (Clear, Constructive, Considerate) when giving feedback.
  • Practice receiving feedback with openness and reflection.
